Poly Drums

As with steel drums, poly drums will be referred to as a TIGHT HEAD OR CLOSED TOP drum or an OPEN HEAD drum. In a CLOSED TOP poly drum, accessibility will generally be through two, 2″ bung openings in the top of the drum.

A FULL OPEN HEAD, OR OPEN TOP drum, will have a removable cover on the top of the drum that can be removed and later secured in place with a ring. This ring may be a nut and bolt closure, or a lever lock closure. Again, the covers may or may not have bungs.
